You can use this service to:

  • View your driving record, for example vehicles you can drive
  • Check your penalty points or disqualifications
  • Create a licence ‘check code’ to share your driving record with someone, for example a car hire company. The check code will be valid for 21 days.

The initial INDG382 leaflet was published in September 2003. Contains public sector information published by the Health and Safety Executive and licensed under the Open Government Licence v1.0.

This driving licence website displays most of the valid models of driving licence in use in the EEA and provides any important information that is specific to each type of licence.

You can search for a particular driving licence by choosing the country and then the date when the licence was issued.

Once you have found the right model of licence, you can also view information on its physical description, security features, entitlements and categories. You are able to download a document with examples of all the models of driving licence in the EEA here.
