Home > News > Company Charged for Corporate Manslaughter

The Crown Prosecution service (CPS) has announced that Lion Steel Equipment Ltd has been charged with corporate manslaughter  (only the second company to face charges under the Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act 2007) after an employee fell through a plastic roof light on a industrial unit.

Licence Bureau Marketing director Mike Reed says by highlighting these sad cases of corporate manslaughter I hope it will have an effect on the corporate reasoning and need for complete governance across the whole of HSE area and not just in relation to driver management.
