Motor Trade News: Fleet bosses risk prosecution over unlicenced drivers

Many of the UK’s company directors are running the risk of facing corporate manslaughter and Health and Safety charges, which carry unlimited fines and publicity orders, as thousands of their workers are driving illegally, that’s the warning from document checking firm, Licence Bureau.

By making thousands of checks each week, Licence Bureau estimates that there are 24,000 people driving illegally for companies in Britain today. During 2011 Licence Bureau found that on average 1 in every 300 licences were invalid.
